11/63 Amazing Spider-Man #6 1st Appearance of Lizard & first battle with Spider-Man. |
| The Lizard took a couple of years to appear again in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man but he did in a classic storyline in issues #44 & 45 which feature 2 of my favorite John Romita Covers ever...He appeared again in issues #75-77 which also featured The Human Torch in a three way battle!...Another great battle issue: alongside Morbius the Living Vampire in Amazing Spider-Man #102. |  |

Curt Connors always makes his obligatory appearance as a supporting cast member and you know its just a matter of a couple of issues before you see the Lizard again...A relatively unknown appearance in Giant Size Spider-Man #5 in the swamps!...You knew this would happen! As he gets involved with Spidey and The Man-Thing! |
| The Lizard has basically appeared in only Spider-Man titles and has been a mainstay in the Spider-Verse since his introduction...One of the better forgotten stories involved Spider-Man becoming a Lizard like creature and again, you knew the real thing wasn't far behind!...The Lizard has teamed with a number of other Spider-Villains including Morbius, Stegron, Calypso, and others when Lizzy and Spidey went to the Beyonder's planet in the Secret Wars mini series. |  |

The Lizard was a prominent character in the first Spider-Man storyline that lasted the first 5 issues...He was represented in this storyline as more ferocious than ever!...He has been in and out of the pages of Spider-Man the last number of years but hasn't really been a prominent "player" in the Spider-Man stable of villains until he played a major part in the Lifeline limited series that resulted with Dr. Connors ridding himself of the curse that enabled him to become the Lizard. |
