Origin: Scott received his powers from the same equipment designed, manufactured and used by the original Ant-Man, Henry Pym...After initially stealing the equipment, Pym allowed Scott to retain the equipment after saving a Doctor from being held captive while also saving the life of his daughter Cassie who always seems to get into trouble somehow.
